We realize that finding an HIV vaccine that may one-day prevent AIDS is not possible without our volunteers. Our success is possible because of you. To that end, our staff does all we can to encourage your individual participation and to protect your rights throughout the trial.

Here’s our commitment to you, the volunteer:

• We endeavor to make this an enjoyable and pleasant experience.

• We do all that is possible to ensure your safety.

• We maintain confidentiality to the extent of the law.

• We keep our volunteers informed about all issues regarding the
  vaccine study.

• We make every endeavor for our vaccine participants to represent the
diversity of our community at large.

• We respect individual life style choices, cultures and rights.

• We provide interpreters, as needed.

• We reimburse you for your time and effort.

• We maintain a warm and friendly environment.

• We encourage volunteers to be proud of their participation.

• We encourage and listen to our Community Advisory Board.
