Interact with the map below to learn how the number of HIV infections are distributed around the world.
The HVTN conducts HIV vaccine studies at medical research sites around the world. This interactive map allows you to explore the globe and view the study sites around the world.
The Rochester HVTU at the University of Rochester Medical Center was one of the first four research sites in the United States to conduct HIV vaccine studies (1988). Since joining the HIV Vaccine Trials Network we have mentored sites in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil in conducting their HIV vaccine studies. Thanks to the HVTN, vaccine volunteers in Rochester studies share a common ground with volunteers in similar or identical studies around the world.
